My Story

Born and raised in Texas, I grew up in the small town of Amarillo Texas where I developed an obsession with Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, and Anne Rice at a young age. By the time I began higher education, I found myself in the depths of British Literature which somehow lead to my studies of poetry by the likes of William Blake, Lord Byron, Keats, and Arthur Rimbaud. While attending University, I discovered that I had both a brain AVM and heart condition that would require extensive treatments and surgery. It was throughout those struggles that poetry and writing provided me with the creative outlet I needed to survive and overcome some of the darkest and bleakest moments in my life. Now, I find myself content to immerse myself in the smallest pleasures in life like a hot latte on a cold day and the scribblings of my own thoughts into a poetic verse.
